Two Lakeshore area students are among seven across the Midwest that will be receiving a $1,000 scholarship from CentralStar Cooperative. Brett Mullikin of Waldo, and Chilton’s own Brandon Biese will both be using their scholarships to attend the University of Wisconsin Madison, each going into a farming related field. Mullikin is actually headed into his last year at UW-Madison Farm and Industry Short Course with a focus on farm and equipment operations, while Biese will be going into his third year, majoring in dairy science with a certificate in agricultural business management. CentralStar Cooperative serves dairy and beef producers in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Indiana, following a May merger between East Central/Select Sires and NorthStar Cooperative.
