For the second time this week, the Manitowoc Police arrested someone for strangling a woman. This time, the suspect was a 44-year-old man. Officers were called to the area of Maritime Drive and North 6th Street at 7:40 last night on a report of a domestic incident. Officers located a woman sitting in front of the Maritime Museum, who admitted she had been drinking with her ex-boyfriend all day. She explained to the police that the duo had lived together for a couple of years, but broke things off and remained friends, despite their tumultuous relationship. The man was bringing the woman home when they got into an argument. The woman got out of the vehicle, but the man followed, eventually striking, and strangling her. Officers found the man in his home and arrested him on charges of Strangulation and Suffocation, and Domestic Disorderly Conduct.
