The Milwaukee Brewers seem to be turning things around following a slump where they went 1-6. The crew were able to hold on and defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-3 last night, thanks to some help from Pirate catcher Elias Diaz. Diaz was called for impeding the runner, which allowed the winning run to score in the 9th inning. Brewers first baseman Yasmani Grandal emerged from a one-for-19 slump with a pair of hits and an important R-B-I in the win.
Milwaukee goes for the sweep tonight (Wednesday) at P-N-C Park, with Drew Pomeranz taking the mound. Zach Davies was supposed to pitch today, but he was placed on the 10 day injured list earlier this week. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05, with pregame coverage on 1240 AM WOMT beginning at 5:30 PM.
