A Democratic state representative from Green Bay says he has bipartisan support for a homeless bill. The measure backed by Staush Gruszynski would let homeless shelters and transitional housing accept 17-year-old residents. Gruszynski quotes studies showing 17-year-old kids are the ones most affected by homelessness. In many cases, they “age out” of the foster care program and have nowhere to go. Gruszynaski is co-sponsor of a bill now being considered in the Senate.
