Two weeks after Representative Paul Tittl was in the W— Studios talking about getting monetary help from Madison to repair some roads in Manitowoc County, Governor Tony Evers approved a $1.8 million contract to improve a stretch of road in Manitowoc County. The contract will allow for the 5.6 mile stretch of US 151 from Industrial Drive in Chilton to WI 67 in Eaton to be fixed up. Work is scheduled to begin on Monday August 12th, and should be completed by mid-September. Some of the work that will be done includes milling and overlaying the existing asphalt surface, repaving cross-culvert pipes, and improving the railroad crossing east of Chilton. Detours will be posted during the project.
