The winner of the foursome that started play last night will HOST the Bandits next Wednesday. The Friday and potential Saturday games will be played in Manitowoc.
The Manitowoc Bandits have the #1 seed for the upcoming Shoreland Baseball League Playoffs. The Bandits won the regular-season crown and will have home-field advantage during the post-season. The playoff schedule actually begins tonight with a pair of opening-round games: the Casco A’s with the 6th seed travel to the #5 Kewaunee Chiefs and the Branch Blaze (#7) are on the road to battle the 4-seed, Green Bay Storm. The survivor from that foursome will then travel to Municipal Field next Wednesday for the start of a best-of-3 series with Manitowoc. The other semi-final series, also beginning August 7th, pits the #3 Algoma ‘Guins against the 2nd seeded Denmark Devilbears.
