Calling all shutterbugs! The Friends of Mariners Trail has announced its fourteenth annual Calendar Photo Contest. The public, including FOMT members, are invited to submit photos for possible use in the 2020 Mariners Trail Calendar.
Photos considered for use in the calendar will be snapshots that are taken along the shoreline between Neshotah Beach in Two Rivers and the Eighth Street bridge in Manitowoc, as well as on the East Twin River up to 22nd Street in Two Rivers. There are a few different categories that submitted photos should fit into: People using the Trail (biking, running, walking, roller blading, etc.); Seasonal (including holiday themes); or Nature Scapes (flowerbeds, sculptures, wildlife, views of the lake, etc.).
All proceeds will go to support the community volunteer flowerbeds along the Trail.
A panel of five judges will choose 13 photos for use in the calendar. Each person may enter up to 5 photos. Results will be announced mid October.
Cash prizes of $100, $75, and $50 will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, respectively. A $100 prize will be awarded for the cover photo. Winners will also receive a free calendar.
