Plane Headed For EAA Seaplane Base Forced To Set Down In Soybean Field

The owner of Pollack-Vu Dairy thought his cows had gotten out when he received a call last Sunday.  Instead, Fond du Lac County authorities were telling him there was a plane in his soybean field.  The pilot of a World War Two-era Piper Cub seaplane completely lost power and had to make an emergency landing.  The 1945 aircraft wasn’t damaged and the 74-year-old pilot escaped injury.
