Fishing fanatics are out on Lake Michigan this morning, takin part in the Kewaunee/Door County Salmon Derby. We have received a report of the current front runner, which is a 36.7 pound King Salmon, measuring in at 40 inches. There are a total of $50,000 in cash and prizes on the line, with the top fisher getting a whopping $10,000. The 37th annual event will conclude tomorrow.
The 38th Annual Cleveland Fishing Derby is also taking place this weekend. Tickets to participate are running at $20 for adults and $10 for children. Food and refreshment are being served all three days of the derby, with the winner earning the grand prize of $750. The winner of each category will also get $250.
