There was a heavy police presence overnight in the Outagamie County Village of Black Creek where an armed standoff was taking place over an argument between a father & his adult son. Members of the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office were trying to negotiate with the son, who had barricaded himself inside a house, off Highway 47. The father notified authorities late yesterday afternoon and said he was arguing with his son, in his 20’s, when the younger male pulled out a gun. The father had left the house but his son would not come out. The son apparently had been drinking, according to a broadcast report. Outagamie County had brought in a tactical truck and an armored bomb squad vehicle as a precaution.
