It is being reported by the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, that eight teenagers have been hospitalized with lung damage, and doctors suspect that vaping is what caused it. All eight teens admitted to vaping in the weeks and months leading up to their hospitalization, and reported feeling short of breath, fatigued, chest pain, coughed heavily, and experienced weight loss. In some of the cased the teens even needed medical assistance to breathe, but some did show improvement after treatment. Children’s Hospital released a statement asking parents to be more aware of the potential danger of vaping. “E-cigarette cartridges can contain toxic chemicals that have been shown to damage lungs,” They explained.” Because these products are still new, the long-term effects of use are not fully understood.”
