A Marinette County man will be sentenced in October for the January shooting death of his wife. Fifty-six-year-old Gary Rogge of Pembine pleaded no contest today to an amended charge of first-degree reckless homicide in the killing of Shelley Erickson-Rogge. Rogge claims he shot his wife accidentally after they had been drinking all day. He said they were shooting guns at the floor and he was showing Shelley a “quick draw.” Witnesses told police they had been arguing in a bar the day she was killed and surveillance video showed Gary Rogge kissing and holding hands with another woman. His sentencing hearing is October 14th.
