A 9/11 memorial foundation is paying off the home mortgage for the family of fallen Appleton Firefighter Mitchell Lundgaard. Tunnel to Towers C-E-O Frank Siller announced today that the foundation is paying off Lundgaard’s mortgage in full and the families of five other fallen public safety employees. Lundgaard was shot and killed May 15th by a suspect at the Valley Transit Center in Appleton. His wife Lindsey said, “Tunnel to Towers taking over my mortgage is amazing. It allows me to focus on my children and grieving the loss of my husband.” The foundation was started in memory of New York Firefighter Stephen Siller who died in the September 11th terrorist attacks.
