One person was killed and another suffered minor injuries as the result of a single vehicle rollover crash in Manitowoc County early yesterday afternoon. The State Patrol said the car was going northbound on I-43, north of Clover Road near Newton, about 1:45pm when it left its’ lane of travel and entered the median shoulder. The driver over-corrected causing the vehicle to enter the right lane and eventually the ditch area where it rolled-over. The motorist was ejected and sustained fatal injuries while a passenger was not seriously hurt. Authorities have not released information about the names and hometown of those involved in the incident. The Wisconsin State Patrol Technical Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash and received assistance from the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office. The accident created a large traffic backup until late in the afternoon.
