The De Pere Police Department have finally released details surrounding the couple who was found dead in their home on Sunday. Authorities are saying that 65 year old Gerald R. Linzmeier was shot and killed by his 64 year old wife Sharon A Linzmeier while he slept, before she took her own life. The weapon of choice was a small caliber handgun, but the motive remains a mystery to the investigators. De Pere Police Capt. Chad Opicka told reporters, “We know what happened. …We’ve tried to look into the motive and the why and stuff like that. Some of the indicators are there was probably some problems with the marriage.” Investigators are combing through a series of text messages and a phone call Sharron had just prior to the killing, in which she alluded to a family member that something bad was going to happen.
