Manitowoc Elks Lodge #687 Issues Awards for Fiscal Year 2018-19

Manitowoc Elks Lodge #687 recently presented some of their members with Grand Lodge Awards for the fiscal year of 2018-2019. The “Elk of the Year” award was awarded to Genie Varney, while Hugo Wiegert was named “Officer of the Year”, and Jeremiah Novak was deemed the “Citizen of the Year”.  The awards were all presented by the Lodge’s Exalted Ruler Kari Brogan. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is a non-profit, fraternal organization and was organized in Manitowoc over 117 years ago. The Elks aim to serve the community, youth, and veterans.
