The man convicted of kidnapping Jayme Closs and murdering her parents in Barron County will serve his sentence in another state. The Wisconsin Department of Corrections says Jake Patterson was transferred Monday to an out-of-state prison. Patterson’s new location is not being made public due to safety concerns. He is serving two life prison sentences for the October 2018 fatal shootings of James and Denise Closs and a 13-year term for the abduction of 13-year-old Jayme. He is not eligible for parole.
