The Board of Commissioners of Public Lands are distributing around $36.2 million to schools around the state, and several area schools are on the list. The Manitowoc School District will get $244,224, while Two Rivers will get $44,686, Valders is slotted to get $40,638, Reedsville will pull in $33,093, and Brillion will collect $33,185. The BCPL generates earnings for the Common School Fund and distributes it to Wisconsin School Districts annually. For many school districts, this is the only money they get for library materials, including books, newspapers, and periodicals, as well as computer hardware and software.
