A Texas man who sent several kilos of cocaine to Wisconsin is going to federal prison for 11 years. The U-S Attorney’s Office says 51-year-old Gregory Smith of Houston was sentenced after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more cocaine. Postal records show Smith mailed 32 packages to a co-defendant in Wisconsin or Iowa from November of 2017 to November 2018. Investigators learned each package contained between a half and one kilogram of coke. Forty-eight packages were also sent from Madison to Houston and a search of five led to more than 85-thousand dollars cash. A total of 12 people are charged in the case.
