A pair of meetings will be held in Manitowoc’s City Hall late this afternoon. The Board of Public Works will start the evening off at 4:00 PM in the Council Chambers. They will be accepting bids for the upcoming sanitary and storm sewer construction project, and will be taking a look at the pay estimates for various engineering and public works projects. The Public Infrastructure Committee will also be occupying the Council Chambers an hour and a half later. They will be taking a look at an update on the design of a pedestrian bridge over the Little Manitowoc River. Several requests and proposals will also be presented, including one to add a bus stop at the corner of North 8th and School Streets. Another major topic of discussion for some people will be the tree planting plans for Waldo Boulevard from North 14th Street to Memorial Drive.
