A 32-year-old Manitowoc man was taken into police custody last night after his mother called authorities. The concerned mom called the Manitowoc Police Department just after 9:15 pm, and told them that her son was on drugs, and had taken a child from her residence. By the time police arrived, the man’s father had retrieved the child, but the man was reportedly on the front lawn acting erratically. When officers approached him, the man began swearing at them and attempted to hit them. The officers ended up utilizing their tasers to bring the man down, and place him in custody. The man was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting an Officer.
