China’s Shanshan Feng posted a sensational bogey-free 63 (-9) to reach A total of 29 under par to capture the Skywoman trophy at this weekend’s 2019 Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic. The final round was a closely contested one, with as many as 14 players within one shot of the lead on the front nine. Feng used her 8 iron to perfection throughout the round, and did so again on the 18th, landing within 4 feet of the hole, a putt she drained to claim the victory. Feng’s 29-under-par total is the second-lowest 72-hole score (in relation to par) in LPGA Tour history, which was set at -31 by Sei Young Kim last year at Thornberry Creek.
