La Crosse will make leaf pick-up a priority this year, but it means the western Wisconsin city won’t be putting up any Christmas decorations later. Mayor Tim Kabat has told council members that the city doesn’t have enough workers to both pick-up leaves and hang Christmas lights. All may not be lost. Downtown Mainstreet normally partners with the city to hang the decorations. Its membership could look for another partner to keep the holiday tradition going.
