Fond du Lac pushed across a run in the bottom of the 8th inning last night to edge Manitowoc 3-2 in American Legion Baseball. Post-88 starter Jeremy Arnemann worked 7 1/3 innings in taking the loss. He allowed 6 hits, 4 walks and 2 earned runs while striking out 2.Offensively, the local Legion squad was led by Trent Van Ess of Two Rivers and Adam Diedrich from Hilbert, both of whom went 2-3. Diedrich also drove in two runs in the first inning. Fond du Lac improves to 12-4 while Manitowoc drops to 11-3 with another game Friday at Kimberly.
