Tomorrow people will be flooding the streets across the country to celebrate Independence Day. There are tons of events planned to celebrate our founding fathers declaring our independence from England, and forming the foundations for our great country. Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels told Seehafer News that there will be things happening all day, including the first annual 4th of July parade. He also told us that there will be food vendors, arts and crafts, and kids activities up and down the Mariners Trail all day long.
There will also be plenty of activities going on just a short jaunt north on Maritime Drive in Two Rivers. Their festivities will be starting a bit later in the day at Walsh Field, according to City Manager Greg Buckley. The Two Rivers festivities will begin a 3:00 pm, and will include a concession area, and inflatables for the kids. A flag will be raised at 7:00, followed the municipal band concert, and patriotic sing along.
Both cities will have their traditional fireworks shows beginning at 9:30 PM.
