Former University of Wisconsin star Frank Kaminsky is expected to be a backup at power forward for the Phoenix Suns after reaching agreement on a two-year contract. E-S-P-N reports the deal is worth 10-million dollars. The Charlotte Hornets declined to make a qualifying offer to Kaminsky after he spent five years with that team. He played in just 47 games last season. Kaminsky is expected to play behind Dario Saric.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks signed another shooter when they reached a two-year agreement with former Marquette star Wesley Matthews. Matthews played his high school basketball at Madison Memorial. He’s a 10-year N-B-A veteran who averaged 12 points-a-game last season while playing for Dallas, Indiana and the New York Knicks. Only Steph Curry was able to connect on one-thousand three-pointers faster in his N-B-A career than Matthews.
