Bustamante Cortez
Charges have been officially filed against an 18-year-old Two Rivers man for his role in a stabbing incident last week. Cortez N. Bustamante is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide with use of a dangerous weapon armed robbery with threat of force and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping. Police were called to a Two Rivers residence the afternoon of July 23 where they learned that Bustamante had stabbed 20 year old Cameron Loze an acquaintance of the defendant in the neck. Authorities say the quick response by a citizen and emergency personnel was key in minimizing Loze’s injury. No motive is known at this time. The victim has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home. Bustamante remains in the County Jail in lieu of $250,000 cash bail.
