One local family has created a tradition of spending their summers working at Miller Park together.
For the Kriefall family of Franklin, working at Miller Park is more than just a summer job, it’s a family tradition. Eight members of the family spanning four generations have worked at Miller Park, including Cindy Kriefall, who has always remembered her family’s passion for the Brewers.
“I have lived my whole life around the Brewers. Back in 1970 when the Seattle Pilots moved to Milwaukee to become the Milwaukee Brewers. I remember sitting on my dad’s shoulders at the airport to welcome the team to Milwaukee.” said Cindy Kriefall.
Kriefall started at Miller Park on her 16th birthday in 1979. Her mother, great-aunt were already employed at the stadium. Now, 41 seasons later, she is a Concessions Stand Manager for Milwaukee Sportservice and just as passionate about the Brewers, she even met her husband, Tom, at work! They have encouraged their own three children, Mike, Matthew, and Megan to work at Miller Park as well. For some people, working with family might seem difficult, but Cindy and her daughter Megan both expressed the perks of having a family.
“Working together has made us closer. We depend on one another to get the job done” said Cindy Kriefall.
“We all carpool, I never have to worry about a ride to work” added her daughter Megan Kriefall.
The Kriefall family is proud to continue their legacy of cheering on the Brewers and serving guests at Miller Park. For those interested in joining the Milwaukee Sportservice team, there are current positions open in culinary and concessions.
