Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald says the worst thing the governor could do is veto the entire state budget plan. The Senate and Assembly passed the 81-billion dollar package this week and it arrives at the governor’s office today (Friday). He can sign it, veto it, or use his partial veto powers to revise the budget. Fitzgerald says it will be difficult to build another budget Governor Evers would accept if he chooses to veto this one. Evers hasn’t said what he plans to do.
