The Shoreland League will enshrine two more members in its’ Hall-of-Fame this weekend. Kevin Konkol of the Denmark Devilbears & Branch Blaze and Jim Doden of the Kewaunee Chiefs were selected in February as the newest inductees of the Shoreland League Hall of Fame. Konkol will be honored Friday night in Denmark during the annual ‘Devilfest’ celebration, followed by the Shoreland League game at 6:30 against the Casco A’s. Doden, meanwhile, will have his Hall of Fame induction Sunday afternoon when the Kewaunee Chiefs host the Branch Blaze in a doubleheader starting at 1:00 o’clock. Jim Doden began playing with the Chiefs in 1963 while still in high school and later served as both General Manager and Field Manager. The Denmark Devilbears joined the ‘Shoreland’ in 1999 under Konkol’s leadership. Kevin started his playing career with Branch in 1985 & continued until 1993, after which the Devilbears were formed where he served as a player/manager. The Shoreland League Hall of Fame is now in its’ 3rd year of operation.
