Sheet Metal Union Striking in Sheboygan

Most union strikes take place in large cities, but Sheet Metal Workers local 18 has been just that in Sheboygan since June 20th. It is being reported that there was a dispute with East Central Wisconsin Sheet Metal Contractors Association, and the Union says they enforce “unfair labor practices”. The association has allegedly not been willing to meet with the union to discuss the issues, so the local sheet metal workers have taken to the streets to fight for their cause. As of last word it does not appear that neither side is budging, and it’s unclear how long this strike could last.
