Waukesha Jury Hears Testimony Against Former Husband In Cold Case

Thirty-eight-year-old Dona Mae Bayerl went missing 40 years ago and she has never been seen since.  The murder trial for her former husband started in Waukesha County Circuit Court Monday.  Seventy-nine-year-old John Bayerl of Fort Myers, Florida is accused of killing her in 1979.  The defense points out the case is based on circumstantial evidence.  If he is convicted, Bayerl could be given a life sentence.  Prosecutors say they will use his comments over the years and D-N-A evidence to make that happen.
