Officers with the Manitowoc Police Department were seen at the former home of Victor Cota, the man who was arrested back in March after explosives were found in his home. We reached out to Detective SGT Mike Stone with the MPD to see what was happening. He explained that the cleaning company taking care of the apartment found what he termed a “suspicious looking item”. To air on the side of caution, the bomb squad was called in to take care of the item. SGT Stone would not say what the item was but he did say “as a result of that, I don’t see any further charges coming.”
