Manitowoc Police Arrest Man for Burglary

A Manitowoc man was arrested late last week for stealing from an apartment. Officers were called to the apartment in the 1100 block of South 19^th Street at around 7:40 AM on Friday on a report of a man entering another person’s apartment. The officers located the 27 year old suspect right away and went to talk to the victims. One victim told officers that he was awoken by the sound of someone talking in his apartment. The suspect told the man that he was his landlord, and took his mail and some batteries. The suspect then allegedly began rummaging through a vehicle outside, and took several items from there as well. Other victims informed officers that some of the clothes the suspect was wearing belonged to them as well. The suspect has been charged with Burglary, four counts of Theft and Possession of THC.
