The Trump administration has withdrawn its plans to close 25 Civilian Conservation Centers operated by the U-S Forest Service. U-S Senator Tammy Baldwin objected last week, saying the Blackwell Job Corps Center has supported the local economy in Wisconsin’s Northwoods with job training and good-paying jobs for 55 years. The center has made more than five-million dollars in local economic investment during that time. Congressman Sean Duffy was part of the effort to keep the center open.
