Another Wisconsin Republican lawmaker says he’s a ‘no’ vote on the proposed two-year state budget. Senator David Craig of Waukesha says the G-O-P plan spends too much money. Craig said, “there’s no way on Earth Wisconsinites are spending ten-percent more in their households, in their businesses. The economy is improving, but the economy is not government-proof.” Craig says he could accept a two-percent spending bump. Senator Steve Nass of Whitewater also plans to vote ‘no.’ Two more defections and Republicans won’t be able to pass their budget. G-O-P leaders claim the new budget is more conservative than what Governor Evers proposed.
