There are a couple of updates surrounding the death of 2-year-old Gilbert Grant back in May. Gilbert’s mother, 27-year-old Rena Santiago, was pregnant when she was taken into custody so her court appearances were put on hold. She has since given birth, and was back in court earlier this week, with her preliminary hearing scheduled for July 15th. Facing charges alongside Santiago are 28-year-old David Heiden, and 25-year-old Bianca Bush.
Also related to the case, 30-year-old Curtis D. Quistorf
of Two Rivers also made a court appearance on Monday. He is facing charges after causing a disturbance at a hearing where all three suspects were on hand. Quistorf approached Heiden and told him “Better pray you don’t get out, David.” Quistorf is facing one charge of disorderly conduct and will be back in court on July 26th for his settlement conference.
