
Authorities have released more information about the shooting incident that took place in Little Chute last night. The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office and the Shiocton police were both sent to a home at around noon on Sunday on a report of a domestic disturbance, but the man involved in the incident had left before authorities arrived. Then at 7:15 PM, officials received reports that the man had sent text messages claiming that he was going to get into a shootout with police. The man was seen walking at the intersection of Moasis and Buchanan Streets in Little Chute, and officers attempted to talk to him. The man did not follow instruction, and shots were fired, but details of the encounter have not been released. The suspect was arrested and transported to a local hospital, however, no deputies were injured in the incident. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department taking the reins.
