It’s no guarantee of a starting job, but second-year wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling was lining up with the first team during this week’s mandatory minicamp. The second-year player appears to be separating himself from the crowd. When the Packers go with the three-wide look, Geronimo Allison would be in the slot. As a rookie, Valdes-Scantling topped 100 yards against the 49ers and Patriots and caught 38 passes for 581 yards. His size and four-point-37 speed in the 40 make him an impressive target who the Packers hope will develop even further in the 2019 season.
