A Manitowoc man is behind bars after causing a disturbance Wednesday evening on the south side of the city. 41 year old Dang Vang was the subject of a bail hearing yesterday afternoon and cash bond was set at $5,000, which has not been furnished at last word. He was ordered to have no contact with two residences involved in the disturbance, or with witnesses. His next court appearance has been scheduled for the afternoon of Monday, June 17th.
Police arrested Vang Wednesday evening after a half-hour standoff that required the assistance of the county SOS team and a police canine. Vang had allegedly been yelling at a person in a house in the 1400 block of south 14th street, then barricaded himself in a nearby residence. He had been ordered not to contact either of those houses, and was known to have numerous weapons with him at the time.
