Bail has been set for a Manitowoc man accused of sexually assaulting a woman who was intoxicated and unconscious. 25-year-old Jake Grosshuesch appeared in court today in Manitowoc and had his bail set at $25,000. Police say he was at a bar on December 6, 2018, when a woman asked him to give her a ride to her friend’s apartment. The two continued to drink and the woman accused Grosshuesch of having sex with her while she was passed out. Grosshuesch was arrested on June 7, 2019, after a crime lab submitted evidence that supported the victim’s claim. He was charged with second-degree sexual assault with an intoxicated and unconscious victim. His initial court appearance has been scheduled for Monday, June 17th at 1:30.
