The woman that was shot during the May 15th shooting at the Valley Transit Center in Appleton has been deemed healthy enough to be released from the hospital. 30 year old Brittany Schowalter was one of three people struck by a round fired by the 47 year old assailant, who died on the scene. Appleton Police Officer Paul Christensen was also hit and was treated at a local hospital, while Firefighter Mitchell Lundgaard, a 14 year veteran of the department was killed. The shooting still remains under investigation, as certain details have not yet been determined.
