
The Speaker’s Task Force on Suicide Prevention, which is being chaired Joan Balleg of Markesan, has announced that they will be holding a public hearing on Monday June 17th, at Ripon College in Ripon. The event will begin at 10:30 AM with a screening of the PBS, USA Today, and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel created documentary “Kids in Crisis: You’re Not Alone”. The hearing proper will start at noon, and will open with public testimony. There will be a number of guest speakers as well, but the names of those individuals were not stated in the release. The Speaker’s Task Force on Suicide Prevention is the brain child of 25th Assembly District Representative Paul Tittl, who has been a strong advocate for suicide prevention.
