The firefighters union in Menomonee Falls says crews from nearby Brookfield, Lisbon or Sussex might have to respond if there is a fire. The Milwaukee suburb of 37-thousand residents has five fire stations, but village leaders admit they have only three working fire trucks. The lack of functioning trucks means Fire Station Four is shut down overnights until further notice. Firefighters Local 3879 President Kevin Myers says Menomonee Falls got into this situation because it delays equipment repairs and replacement. W-T-M-J Television says its news crews checked this week and found only one in-service fire engine which was located at Station Three.
