A software company says it wants to be paid a little over 14-million dollars for its work, but the Wisconsin Claims Board has rejected its demand. The state Department of Employee Trust Funds contracted with Vitech Systems Group to build a computer system to track state employee retirement benefits. The state paid Vitech about half of the 27-million dollar contract but kept changing the design. Vitech finally stopped work in March. Now, it wants the rest of its money, but the state says the system isn’t completely functional.
