Port Washington police weren’t sure what they were dealing with for a few tense moments Monday. A woman who had been spring cleaning her house brought a grenade she found to the police station. Police put the possible explosive device on the ground, cleared the area and called the bomb squad. The experts quickly determined the grenade was a dummy used in training exercises and it offered no physical danger.
