United Way’s annual Day of Action – a global day of service where thousands of people from over 400 communities across the world volunteer their time to create positive change – is taking place on Friday, June 21.
Day of Action is a snapshot of what United Way does all year long – galvanizing people around solutions to take meaningful action and build stronger communities. Last year, tens of thousands of volunteers around the world joined more than 520 United Ways from 19 countries to fight for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every one of those communities.
Locally, United Way Manitowoc County is once again mobilizing volunteers – individuals, company teams and community groups – to give back and invest their time in Manitowoc County. Volunteers are able to choose from eight volunteer projects at different nonprofit organizations across the county. This is a great opportunity for community members and local businesses to connect with Manitowoc County’s nonprofits and get a firsthand look at the great work they do.
