One of three defendants, charged in the death of a Two Rivers boy, waived her right to a preliminary hearing in Manitowoc County Circuit Court. 25-year-old Bianca Bush pled “not guilty” to two counts of repeated physical abuse of a child causing bodily harm child abuse, chronic neglect of a child, allow use as place of prostitution, pandering, possession of marijuana as party to a crime and possession of drug paraphernalia as party to a crime.
Officers responded to a Two Rivers residence April 26th for a report of a child not breathing. Gilbert was pronounced dead a short time later. Prosecutors say that Bush, 28-year-old David Heiden and 27-year-old Rena Santiago (Gilbert’s mother) repeatedly hit Gilbert with their hands-a shoe and belt over several months. Heiden allegedly admitted that he shook Gilbert the day he died. Bush’s settlement conference with the District Attorneys Office is scheduled for July 12th with a plea Date set for August 16th. Heiden’s settlement conference is scheduled for July 2nd with his plea date set for August 6th while Santiago’s initial appearance is set for June 17th. All three defendants remain in the County Jail in lieu of $100 thousand cash.
