The Philadelphia 76ers say they will do everything they can to keep the team’s core intact and free agency is still a month away. Star guard Jimmy Butler hasn’t given any indication he wants to sign a new contract with the Sixers, though. If he doesn’t, local sportswriters in the City of Brotherly Love say the team will go after Bucks free agent forward Khris Middleton. They need a shooter like that to keep other teams from stacking up inside against Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.
