Mercury Racing has awarded its inaugural Future Tech education scholarship to Horace Mann High School student Matt Dudarenke of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The goal of the $1,200 scholarship is to alleviate financial stress of post-secondary education for prospective future Mercury Racing technicians. Companies such as Mercury Racing rely on skilled individuals with a strong work ethic and passion to build and service niche products. The Future Tech scholarship will help grow the local workforce by providing the education and tools needed to succeed. In order to be eligible for the scholarship, students must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher, must plan to receive education in trade-related field as a full-time student in the semester following high school graduation, and Must demonstrate an emphasis in engineering, math or mechanical / technical course work via submission of high school transcript.
